1. Who we are
Add to Calendar is a Wix app that lets visitors save a manual event, a CMS event, or a Wix Event to Google, Yahoo, Apple, or Outlook. Saving does not register the visitor. This site is the product landing page and app manager companion for the app.

2. Scope
This policy covers:
- Site owners who install or use the Add to Calendar app on a Wix site
- Visitors who use an Add to Calendar button on those sites
- Visitors who browse this marketing / docs site
- Site owners who submit feedback on this marketing site
Your Wix site may also collect visitor data under your privacy policy. Wix’s own processing is governed by Wix’s policies. This document explains what we do as the app developer.
3. Information we collect
3.1 App install and lifecycle
When the app is installed, updated, billed, or uninstalled, we may receive and store app instance identifiers, site URL, site name, owner email (when Wix provides it), plan / billing metadata, app version, and related lifecycle event details so we can operate the product, send transactional emails, and measure reliability.
3.2 Event details shown on the button
The widget reads event fields you configure (title, dates, location, description, meeting link) and, when you bind a CMS collection, the matching item for the current page. On an Event Details page it reads that Wix Event. Those values are used to build a calendar link or an ICS file in the visitor’s browser. The free app does not store a copy of the event, does not connect a calendar account, and does not send the event by email.
3.3 Feedback and support
If you submit feedback on this site or email us, we collect the information you provide (such as name, email, message, and optional site URL) to respond and improve the product.
3.4 Website analytics and logs
Like most sites, our hosting platform may process standard request logs (for example IP address, user agent, and timestamps) for security, debugging, and operations.
4. How we use information
- Provide, secure, and improve Add to Calendar
- Build calendar links and ICS files from the event you configured
- Send install, uninstall, review-reminder, and product-update emails
- Respond to support and feedback
- Comply with law and enforce our terms

5. Sharing, transfer, and disclosure
We share, transfer, or disclose information only in the limited ways below. We do not sell personal information.
5.1 Service providers / processors
- Wix — The app and this site run on Wix. App instance data, CMS collections used for lifecycle tracking, and hosting/logs are processed on Wix infrastructure as needed to run the product.
- Email delivery — Transactional emails may be sent through Wix email / related mailer infrastructure.
5.2 Your site visitors and members
The Add to Calendar button you place on your Wix site is shown to your visitors. Choosing a calendar provider opens that provider or downloads an ICS file on the visitor’s device. That action does not register them for the event.
5.3 Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, the public, or our services.
5.4 Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to continued confidentiality commitments consistent with this policy.
6. Retention and deletion
6.1 How long we keep data
- Event details in the widget — stored as part of your Wix site design and CMS, under your site’s own retention, not in a separate calendar database we operate
- Lifecycle / install records — retained as needed to operate billing awareness, support, security, and product analytics, and for legal compliance
- Feedback submissions — retained as needed to handle your request and improve the product
6.2 How to delete data
- Widget and CMS content — Edit or remove the widget, the CMS item, or the Wix Event on your site. The app does not keep a separate copy of that event.
- Uninstall the app — Uninstalling Add to Calendar from the Wix site ends product access for that instance.
- Email request — Email apps@thewixwiz.com with your site URL / instance details to request deletion of personal data we hold as the app developer. We will respond within a reasonable period.
6.3 Other deletion requests
For access, correction, or deletion requests about personal data we process as the app developer, contact apps@thewixwiz.com. We may need enough information to verify the request and locate the relevant records.
7. Security
Application traffic uses HTTPS. Calendar files are generated in the visitor’s browser. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work to protect data within the Wix platform capabilities available to the app.
8. Children
Add to Calendar is directed to site owners and businesses, not to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app or this site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
