Getting started with CMS for Harmony

Install CMS for Harmony, create a collection, and connect your first display widget on a Wix Harmony site.

CMS for Harmony brings collections and ready-made displays to the Harmony Editor. You model content once, then drop in Table, Repeater, Slideshow, Media Gallery, Calendar, Dynamic Page, or Form widgets that stay in sync when you edit.

Scope note: These are app widgets. The app does not bind CMS data to native Harmony Text, Image, Button, or other built-in elements.

1. Install the app

  1. Open your Harmony site in the Wix Editor.
  2. Install CMS for Harmony from the App Market.
  3. Open the CMS for Harmony dashboard from the app to manage collections. Item pages are native Wix dynamic pages — see Dynamic pages.

A longer walkthrough: How to add a CMS to Wix Harmony.

2. Create a collection

In the CMS dashboard:

  1. Create a collection (for example Team, Products, or Events).
  2. Add fields you need — text, rich text, image, date, media gallery, and so on.
  3. Optionally add a native dynamic page so each item gets its own URL.
  4. Add a few items so you have something to display.

More detail: Add collections.

3. Connect a display

On a site page:

  1. Add a CMS for Harmony widget (start with Repeater or Table): Add → Elements → Installed Apps → CMS for Harmony.
  2. Open Settings. On app v17+, a new widget may offer the Guided setup wizard; otherwise connect a collection in Manual, or use AI setup (AI setup).
  3. Choose which fields to show, plus search/filters if you want (or refine in Manual after AI).
  4. Publish the site.

4. Optional next steps

When you change content in the CMS, connected displays update — you do not rebuild the same blocks by hand.
