Collections are where your structured content lives. Fields define the shape of each item; permissions control who can edit. From the same dashboard you can optionally set up Dynamic pages for item URLs or Enable payments for catalog checkout (Pro).
Create and model a collection
- Open the CMS for Harmony dashboard.
- Create a collection and name it clearly (Team, Listings, Events).
- Add fields that match how you will display content — use Add field on a collection row (including advanced types Harmony’s native picker does not offer), or + Create new field… inside Enable payments.
- Set permissions so editors and site roles can access what they need.
You can also create a new collection from many widget collection dropdowns without leaving the Editor.
Create collection wizard {#create-collection-wizard}
From CMS Collections, Create collection opens a wizard:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Blank collection | Name and ID only; add fields later in the CMS. |
| Upload CSV | Import column headers and rows; review field types and samples before Create and import. |
| Create with AI | Describe what you store; AI suggests fields to review and create (single collection, including sample rows if you enable them). |
| Plan with AI | Opens CMS Assistant to design multiple related collections. |
CMS Assistant {#cms-assistant}
Open CMS Assistant from the app dashboard sidebar (Pro).
| Mode | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Analyze my CMS | Health score, structural findings, collection inventory, and an interactive diagram of how native collections connect. |
| CMS security audit | Permission matrix (read / add / edit / delete) and findings with suggested fixes. |
| Plan new CMS collections | Describe your site or upload a CSV; review and refine the recommended structure, then create collections on this site (optional sample items). |
The app home page no longer prompts you to install a separate CMS Assistant from the App Market — these tools are built in.
Collection rows can show Dynamic and Payments badges. Most actions live in the ⋯ overflow menu (Permissions, Enable payments / Edit catalog, Delete); Edit and Add field stay on the row.
Advanced fields
Harmony’s native field picker is limited (Text, Rich text, URL, Email, Number, Boolean, Image, Date / Date and time / Time). From this dashboard, Add field unlocks Media Gallery, Video, Address, Color, Reference, Tags, and more — see Advanced fields.
Enable payments
See Catalog payments. Enable payments (Pro) maps Name and Price (and optional Description, Image, Quantity) to the CMS catalog so Repeater, Table, Dynamic Page, Media Gallery, and Slideshow can show Add to cart / Buy now.
