Docs Getting started AI setup

AI setup

Describe what you want in plain language and CMS for Harmony configures Table, Repeater, Slideshow, Media Gallery, Calendar, Dynamic Page, and Form — including one-click collection schema create.

AI setup lets you configure a widget from a short description instead of clicking through every Manual panel option. It is available on Table, Repeater, Slideshow, Media Gallery, Calendar, Dynamic Page, and Form.

What you can do

  • Switch the widget panel between AI setup and Manual
  • Describe binding, fields, layout, search and filters, design, Quick view, Dynamic Page links, payments, and more (what applies depends on the widget)
  • Review a short summary, then Undo or Continue (Continue returns to the prompt for another request)
  • After a result, read What changed and Not changed
  • Create a suggested collection with one click (Create {name} with N fields), or Add suggested fields to an existing collection — then AI finishes connecting the widget
  • Open Create new collection (manual CMS flow), Enable payments, or Open collection when those follow-ups still apply

Setup

  1. Select a CMS for Harmony widget on the canvas and open its settings.
  2. Choose AI setup (unbound widgets often open here first).
  3. Describe what you want — for example a Fruits grid with bold titles, filters, and item-page links.
  4. Wait for the plan (complex prompts can take up to a minute).
  1. On Review the plan, read grouped steps (Data, Layout, Filters & sort, and similar). Use Apply N steps or Apply selected so only checked steps run. Steps marked Needs you may still need Create collection, Add fields, or Enable payments before apply.
  2. After apply, use Manage to see What changed, rate the result, or Edit in Settings (opens Manual overview on v17+).
  3. Switch to Manual anytime for drill-down editing.
  1. Review the summary, then What changed.
  2. If the assistant suggests a new collection or missing fields, review the checklist, uncheck anything you don’t want, then use Create … with N fields or Add N fields.
  3. Use Undo to restore the previous settings, or Continue to refine with another prompt.
  4. Switch to Manual anytime for fine-tuning.

Review the plan

Review the plan (v17+) appears after the assistant finishes planning and before settings apply. Each step shows a category, a short description, and a status badge (Ready, Needs you, Pro, and so on). Deselect steps you do not want, then apply. Discard plan returns to the prompt without applying.

Collection schema actions (Create … with N fields, Add N fields) can still appear inside Needs you steps — complete those before or during apply as prompted.

What changed

After AI setup applies a result, the panel lists:

  • What changed — settings that were applied (collection, fields, layout, search, and similar)
  • Not changed — parts of the request that were not applied. Set them in the Settings tab, or rephrase and try again.
  • A note when suggested changes were skipped because they do not match this widget’s settings

Tips

  • Name the collection and the fields you care about when you can.
  • Ask for design and behavior in the same prompt (colors, layout, search, Quick view, payments).
  • Prefer the one-click schema buttons when the assistant lists fields — faster than creating the collection by hand.
  • If you still need to edit the collection in CMS, use Open collection, then try again.
  • If the collection is not a catalog yet and you asked for payments, use Enable payments, then retry.
