Data refresh keeps displays in sync with the latest collection data without a full browser reload. Use a visitor-facing refresh control, timed auto-refresh, or a Form that updates displays after submit.
Which widgets
| Widget | How refresh works |
|---|---|
| Table, Repeater, Slideshow, Media Gallery, Calendar, Dynamic Page | Settings → Data refresh |
| Form | Settings → Submit → Update displays on this page |
Configure Data refresh (displays)
Where: Settings → Data refresh
- Turn on Show refresh button if visitors should reload manually.
- Set Auto-refresh to an interval (Every 15 seconds through Every 5 minutes), or leave Off.
Auto-refresh pauses when the browser tab is hidden.
What reloads
- List widgets reload the current page of items (and the visible calendar range on Calendar).
- Dynamic Page reloads the current item for that URL.
Update displays from a Form
Where: Form Settings → Submit → Update displays on this page
After a successful submit, Table, Repeater, Slideshow, Media Gallery, Calendar, and Dynamic Page widgets on the same page that use the same collection reload automatically — so visitors see the new or updated item without refreshing the browser.
Use case examples
- Live inventory — Auto-refresh a Table every minute during an event.
- Submission + list — Form creates an item; a Repeater on the same page refreshes via Update displays on this page.
- Editorial calendar — Staff edit CMS items elsewhere; Calendar visitors tap refresh for the latest schedule.
