Field formatting controls how each selected field appears on the live widget — empty states, Address maps, Color swatches, video playback, reference labels, and date formats.

Slideshow, Media Gallery, and Calendar use field mapping and their own layout/design sections instead of this shared Formatting accordion. Video playback for those widgets lives under Dynamic page (or Content) where image/video clicks are configured.
Configure formatting
Where: Settings → Formatting (or Layout & Formatting on Table) → expand a field by its display name
Requires fields (or columns) selected in Content. Each selected field gets its own row. You can reorder fields here on Repeater (except a Dynamic page button, which stays with that action).
Common controls

Address fields
- Expand the Address field.
- Set Display as to Text, Map, or Text and map.
- For map modes, set Map height. Map needs coordinates on the value; otherwise the widget falls back to text when available.
Video fields
- Expand the Video field (or a gallery that includes video).
- Set Video playback to Open in modal, Play on click, or Autoplay (muted).
Forms can upload video; displays play it with these options.
Color fields
- Expand the Color field.
- Set Display as to Swatch, Hex, or Swatch and hex.
- Optionally adjust Swatch size.
Color fields can also power Search & filters with Color swatches.
Reference fields
- Expand the Reference / Multi-reference field.
- Choose Display field from the related collection for the label shown on the page.
Date & time fields
- Expand the Date & time field.
- Pick a Format, optional Day of week, and turn on Show timezone when you want the local abbreviation (for example EST or GMT+2).
Notes
- Display options must match the field type. Unsupported combinations fall back gracefully when possible.
- Quick view popups use the same formatting ideas for fields shown in the overlay.
