The Repeater widget displays a collection of items — products, people, projects, listings — as repeating cards. Each card can show images, titles, descriptions, tags, and other fields. Visitors can search, filter, open a quick view, go to an item page, or checkout when payments are enabled.
In CMS for Harmony, “cards” means a Repeater layout, not a separate widget. The app binds data to this widget (and the other CMS for Harmony displays) — not to native Harmony Text, Image, or Button elements.
Use case examples
- Product catalog — Show products with images, names, prices, and categories. Visitors filter by category or availability, open a Quick view, and use Add to cart / Buy now.
- Team directory — A searchable grid of people with photos, roles, departments, and contact fields.
- Real estate listings — Property cards with photos, location, price, and details. Filter by type, area, or price range; link each card to a Dynamic Page.
- Portfolio or case studies — Project cards with cover images, tags, and short summaries that open full item pages.
Configure a Repeater
Build with AI: Instead of configuring everything by hand, open AI setup at the top of the panel and describe what you want — for example: “Show team members in a 3-column grid with photo, name, role, and a department filter.” Then refine in Manual. Details: AI setup.
- Add Repeater from Add → Elements → Installed Apps → CMS for Harmony (you can add it more than once).
- Select the widget → open Settings.
- In Content, connect a data source and choose fields.
- Optionally configure Search & filters, Quick view, Dynamic page, Access (Pro), Payments, Formatting, Layout, Design, and Mobile.
- Publish the site.
Content
Where: Manual overview → Content drill row
Where: Settings → Content
Connect the repeater to your data and choose what appears on each card.
- Set Data source to Wix CMS or External Database (Google Sheets, Airtable, or Notion — see External databases).
- Pick a Collection (Wix CMS) or an external connection.
- Under Fields to display, check the fields that should appear on each card. Order and display options live under Formatting.
- Set Items to load (1–50). When the collection has more items, pagination appears automatically.
- Optionally turn on Scroll to top on page change so Prev/Next keeps the top of the widget in view.
- Choose Sort by and Sort order (type-aware: A→Z, newest first, and so on).
Some options depend on the data source. Quick view, Dynamic page links, and catalog payments require a Wix CMS collection.
Formatting
Where: Manual overview → Formatting drill row → expand a field by its display name
Where: Settings → Formatting → expand a field by its display name
Requires fields selected in Content. Full reference: Field formatting.
Access
Where: Settings → Access (Pro)
Show cards only to signed-in members or selected Pricing Plan holders on the live site, or protect individual cards with fixed item rules. Style the blocked message and optional sign-in button. See Content access.
Search & filters
Where: Manual overview → Search, filters, & sort drill row (search, filters, and visitor sort in one place)
Where: Settings → Search & filters
Full reference: Search & filters.
Quick view
Where: Settings → Quick view (Wix CMS only)
Full reference: Quick view.
Dynamic page
Where: Settings → Dynamic page (Wix CMS only)
Send visitors from a card to that item’s URL on the Dynamic Page template. Overview: Dynamic pages.
- If the collection is not dynamic yet, use Make collection dynamic.
- Turn on Link to item page.
- Set Link style to Whole card or Button.
- Match Page path and Page link field to the Dynamic Page setup.
- Choose Open in: Same tab or New tab.
Links behave differently in the editor sandbox; on the live site they follow Open in.
Payments
Where: Settings → Payments (Pro)
Show checkout actions on each card when the collection has catalog payments enabled.
- Connect a Wix CMS collection in Content.
- If needed, use Enable payments to turn the collection into a catalog.
- Turn on Show payment actions.
- Under Actions, enable Add to cart and/or Buy now.
Without Pro, the section shows an upgrade prompt. External databases do not support catalog payments.
Data refresh
Where: Settings → Data refresh
Full reference: Data refresh.
