Quick view opens a popup with extra fields for the selected item so lists stay compact while details stay one click away. It works on Table and Repeater with a Wix CMS collection (not external databases).
Use case examples
- Product grid — Cards show image, name, and price; Quick view adds description, specs, and a View full page link.
- Directory table — Rows stay scannable; Quick view shows bio, contact fields, and a photo.
- Listings — Browse many items, peek details in the popup, then open the Dynamic Page when ready.
Configure Quick view
Where: Settings → Quick view on Table or Repeater
- Connect a Wix CMS collection in Content.
- Turn on Enable quick view.
- Choose Quick view fields (can include fields not shown on the card or row).
- Set Open trigger:
- Card click / Row click
- Button click (with Button label)
- and/or Field click (with a Trigger field / column)
- Adjust Size (Small / Medium / Large / Full / Custom width), max height, and Field layout (Stacked, Two columns, Image on top, Image on left).
- Optionally enable previous/next Item navigation and a context label (position or item title).
When Dynamic page links are configured on the same widget, the popup can include View full page.
Notes
- External database connections do not support Quick view.
- Field formatting inside the popup follows the same display options as the widget’s Formatting / Layout & Formatting section — see Field formatting.
